What a Portable Printer Battery Specification Has to Pin Down
Most enquiries we receive specify capacity and voltage and stop there. For portable printing solutions the parameters below decide whether the pack survives its intended service life, and they are the ones worth agreeing before a purchase order.

Three Mistakes We See Repeatedly

Testing on light print only
A pack validated printing sparse text will disappoint on dense barcodes and dark logos, which draw far more current per label.
Ignoring the charger
A generic charger that does not respect the pack's charge profile shortens cycle life quietly. Charger and pack should be specified together.
No spare-pack ratio
Field printing fleets need a spare ratio worked out from shift pattern and charge time, not guessed. Under-provisioning spares is the usual cause of "the batteries are bad" complaints.
