What an Industrial Electronics Battery Specification Has to Pin Down
Most enquiries we receive specify capacity and voltage and stop there. For industrial electronics the parameters below decide whether the pack survives its intended service life, and they are the ones worth agreeing before a purchase order.

Three Mistakes We See Repeatedly
These come up often enough in industrial electronics projects that they are worth stating plainly. None of them are exotic; all of them are expensive to discover after tooling is committed.
Specifying at room temperature
A cell rated for 2,000 cycles at 25°C may deliver a third of that at a sustained 55°C panel temperature. Always specify against measured cabinet temperature.
Ignoring the fault-reporting path
If the BMS can flag an impending failure but nothing is wired to read it, the warning is worthless. Plan how the fault reaches a human.
Treating replacement as a like-for-like swap
Original packs are often obsolete by the time they need replacing. A drop-in replacement has to match voltage, envelope, connector and communication behaviour, not just capacity.
