Why Defence Drone Operations Require Better-Than-LiPo Batteries

Defence and border surveillance drones operate in conditions that expose battery technology weaknesses that commercial operators rarely encounter:

  • Extreme temperature ranges: From Ladakh's -20°C to Rajasthan's 50°C — standard LiPo batteries fail at both extremes. Nexfly semi-solid state batteries operate from -20°C to +60°C without significant capacity penalty.
