Farm equipment works in heat, dust and long days far from a charging point. Leolus Energy builds custom lithium batteries for agriculture equipment that stand up to field conditions and deliver dependable runtime for sprayers, sensors and precision-farming tools.
As an Indian agriculture battery manufacturer — already trusted for agriculture drone batteries — we extend the same field-proven engineering to ground equipment: electric sprayers, soil monitors, irrigation controllers and agri-IoT devices.
Agriculture Equipment We Power
Electric Sprayers
High-capacity lithium packs for battery-powered knapsack and field sprayers that run all day.
Soil Monitoring Devices
Long-standby batteries for soil moisture and nutrient monitoring devices.
Smart Irrigation Controllers
Reliable packs for automated irrigation and valve controllers in the field.
Portable Farm Equipment
Durable batteries for a range of portable, battery-powered farm tools.
Agricultural IoT Devices
Weather-tolerant packs for agri-IoT sensors and remote monitoring nodes.
Precision Farming Equipment
Custom batteries for precision-agriculture instruments and guidance devices.
What an Agricultural Equipment Battery Specification Has to Pin Down
Most enquiries we receive specify capacity and voltage and stop there. For agriculture equipment the parameters below decide whether the pack survives its intended service life, and they are the ones worth agreeing before a purchase order.
| Parameter | Typical requirement | Why it decides the outcome |
|---|---|---|
| Dust and water ingress | Sealed to survive wash-down and field dust | Farm equipment is hosed clean and works in dust. Ingress protection is not optional and it is usually the connector that fails first. |
| Seasonal storage behaviour | Tolerant of months idle between seasons | Much agricultural equipment works intensively for weeks and then sits. Storage state of charge and self-discharge determine whether it starts next season. |
| Vibration from ground engagement | High-amplitude, irregular shock loading | Field equipment sees far rougher mechanical input than road vehicles. Cell restraint has to be designed for shock, not just vibration. |
| Heat tolerance | Sustained 45°C+ operating ambient | Peak field season in most of India coincides with peak ambient temperature. Capacity and calendar life both derate. |
| Field-serviceability | Replaceable without specialist tools | A pack that needs a workshop to change is a pack that takes equipment out of service during the season. |
Three Mistakes We See Repeatedly
These come up often enough in agriculture equipment projects that they are worth stating plainly. None of them are exotic; all of them are expensive to discover after tooling is committed.
Storing at full charge over the off-season
Lithium ages fastest at high state of charge and high temperature, which is exactly a full pack in a shed in May. Store at roughly half charge in the coolest place available.
Sizing on flat-ground duty
Load on slope, in wet soil and with a full hopper is far above the flat-dry-empty case most sizing uses.
No spare during the window
Agricultural seasons do not wait for a replacement pack. Spare provisioning is cheap insurance against losing a booked field.
If you are working through a specification and want a second opinion before committing, send it over — we would rather flag a problem at the drawing stage than build to a spec we know will disappoint. See how our custom pack process works.
