We're Leolus Energy Private Limited — a lithium battery manufacturer in Bangalore, India with over 9 years of hands-on experience building battery packs that actually perform in the field. Our flagship product line powers aerospace drones, and we also manufacture batteries for solar street lighting, energy storage systems, electronic weighing machines, and everyday consumer electronics. If it needs reliable, long-lasting power, we've probably built a battery for it.
When we say “Beyond the Grid,” we mean it literally. We build lithium battery systems that work where grid power doesn’t reach — on drones flying over farmland, on solar street lights in rural villages, on portable power stations at remote job sites.
We started as Carbon Compass Enterprises over 9 years ago, focused on making lithium batteries that were genuinely safer and more efficient than what was available. That focus hasn’t changed — but we’ve grown. Today, Leolus Energy serves drone manufacturers, solar integrators, energy storage buyers, and electronics companies across India.
We build lithium battery packs that work when it matters most — safe, reliable, and engineered for real operating conditions. That’s not a tagline. It’s what we test for every day.
We want to be the battery manufacturer that OEMs and integrators trust first — known for solid-state drone battery technology and practical energy solutions that actually work beyond the grid.
Our roots are in drone battery manufacturing. We understand what UAV OEMs need — high energy density, thermal stability, and batteries that survive rough landings.
Every battery pack ships with an advanced BMS that protects against overcharge, deep discharge, short circuits, and overheating. We’ve seen what happens when batteries cut corners on safety. We don’t.
We’ve been manufacturing lithium batteries since our days as Carbon Compass Enterprises. Nine years of real production — not lab work, not consulting — actual manufacturing.
Our R&D team works on solid-state chemistry, thermal management, and BMS optimization. When battery technology moves forward, we move with it.
Drones are our flagship, but we also build batteries for solar street lights, energy storage systems, weighing machines, and consumer electronics. Different industries, same standard of quality.
Our lithium batteries last longer, which means fewer replacements and less waste. For solar and ESS applications, that translates directly into lower cost of ownership for our customers.

Most battery companies treat drones as just another product category. For us, it’s the core of what we do. We’ve spent years working with drone manufacturers to understand what actually matters in flight — weight, discharge rate consistency, thermal behaviour at altitude, and how a battery performs after 200 cycles, not just the first 10. Our Nexfly series of semi-solid state drone batteries came out of that experience.
We’ve been building lithium batteries since 2016, back when we operated as Carbon Compass Enterprises. In those nine-plus years, we’ve learned things you only learn on the production floor — how to match cells properly, how to design BMS circuits that handle real-world abuse, and how to keep quality consistent across thousands of battery packs. That experience is what separates us from companies that are just getting started.
A drone battery and a solar street light battery are completely different engineering challenges. Different discharge profiles, different thermal environments, different cycle expectations. We manufacture battery packs for drones, solar street lights, energy storage systems, electronic weighing machines, and consumer electronics — and each one is designed specifically for its application. We don’t take a drone battery and rebrand it for solar. Every product gets its own engineering.
Every lithium battery we build includes a multi-layer BMS with protection against overcharge, deep discharge, short circuits, over-current, and thermal runaway. This isn’t something we add as an upgrade — it’s built into every single pack. We’ve seen poorly protected batteries cause real damage in the field, and we’ve made sure ours won’t.
We don’t use sustainability as a marketing buzzword. The practical reality is that our lithium batteries last 3–5x longer than lead-acid alternatives, which means fewer replacements, less waste, and lower total cost of ownership. For solar street light and energy storage system buyers, that long cycle life is the biggest advantage we offer.
If you need a battery pack that doesn’t exist in anyone’s catalogue, talk to us. We build custom lithium battery packs for OEMs and corporate buyers — optimized for your specific voltage, capacity, form factor, and operating conditions. Some of our best products started as one-off custom requests that we later turned into standard offerings.
Every battery pack goes through multi-stage quality testing before it leaves our facility. We use certified raw materials, matched cells, and documented QC protocols that meet international manufacturing standards. Whether a pack is going to a drone manufacturer in Bangalore or an integrator overseas, it meets the same quality bar.
